5.5 Manage Tasks
You can access task details by clicking on the task title.
When you open a task, the ‘Task Details’ section opens by default. Here you can add details about the task and any specific notes you want for the users working on it.
You can access the topmost bar on the screen to take actions like:
- Review/edit task status, (in progress, to-do, ready for review, completed)
- See, and add users to the task
- Set task priority (you can choose between three levels)
- View/edit the number of estimated hours required to complete the task
- Delete the task
- View/edit task creation and due date
View task progress bar which tells you (in percentage) how much of the project has been completed compared to the hours estimated for its completion
Next to the Task Details is the Activity Log:
Here, you can see the people working on this specific task, their status, and the duration for which they’ve worked on it. The last column shows the employee’s bill to date (based on the hourly rate of the user).
5.5.1 Assign users to tasks
Click on the task you want to add users into. At the topmost bar, you will find a + sign. Click on it to open the list of users that are added to the project.
Now, tap the user you want to add and press enter. The task will be assigned to that user. You can also assign users from the Projects dashboard to the task.
Note: In a task, you can only add users who are already assigned to the project (in which the task is created.
